Announcement for general tender No. 2/ 2012

The social fund for development (SFD) has received a grant from the united nations development program (UNDP) project code No.59735. and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under the contract with specialized firms to “upgrade the existing network infrastructure”.

The main purpose of this assignment is to (a) upgrade the existing network infrastructure & data center to meet evolving business needs. SFD addresses a growing trend in data center networking to accommodate increasing computational and storage density. (b) the new data network upgrade should be designed to be scalable, flexible, upgradable, manageable and secure to meet the new technology challenges. Also, the required data network should support the integration for data. Voice and video with the new technology standards & protocols. The interested bidder will have to submit One Complete Proposal.

The SFD invites interested and eligible specialized companies to buy directly the TOR and specification booklets (Bid Documents), at a value EGP 5,000, (only five thousands egyptian ponds) from SFD’s (financial department), at main headquarters: 120, Mohie El Din Aboul Ezz Street, Dokki, Giza, Egypt, as of today, (during the working hours from 8:00 am till 4:00 pm) until Bid Closing Date on Sunday 30^th December, 2012, at 12:00 Noon Cairo local time.

The bid closing date is by December 30^th, 2012, at 12:00 Noon Cairo local time. Bidders wil have to submit their technical and financial proposals in sparate envelopes to the social fund for development (SFD), procurement department, (7^th floor) at 1, Wadi El Nile Street, P.O. Box 273, Mohandesin, Giza, Egypt.

The bid bound is to EGP 100,000 (only hundred thousands Egyptian pounds) and the performance bond will be 5% of the contracted value.

Interested companies may obtain further information at the pre-bid meeting to be held at SFD’s address (main building) on December 17^th, 2012 from 11:00am till 2:00pm.
